'fitting in'

Successfully fitting into an existing context was the main hurdle for the design of this villa. This has resulted in an architecture that clearly reflects local characteristics. Yet, a contrasting color-palette of the facade makes this family house truly unique in its context. Through use of white plaster combined with manganese-colored masonry and a strict graphic ordination of windows, the villa got the contemporary character desired by our client. A special attention was reserved for aspects of sustainability resulting in an air-tight and highly insulated building.
