materials, scale and rhythm

The historic architecture of Lobith has been the inspiration for the plan of 18 apartments with commercial spaces in the center of the village. The characteristic materials, scale and rhythm of the region’s original buildings are translated into an architecture which creates a certain naturalness in its surroundings. There has been chosen for a building which is built up from a number of small house-like volumes which fit well within the village center.
